Our History

Karnataka Progressive Education Society was registered in the year 1975 under the able leadership of the prestigious ‘Karnataka Rajyotsava’ awardee Dr. G. M. Patil who was the founder President of the Society along with Shri C. M. Shivanagoudar, an eminent lawyer of North Karnataka as Vice President and Smt. Yamuna Bai Kalyan, former Deputy Director of Public Instructions, Govt.of Karnataka as Secretary.

The K.P.E Society was formed with a vision to promote Scientific, Literacy, Cultural values and economic prosperity of the downtrodden and economically weaker section of the society. The main object of establishing the KPE Society was to provide quality education to the poor, underprivileged and students from rural background.

The Aims And Objectives

To promote charity such as Free Legal Aid to the poor and socially challenged persons.
To establish and run educational Institutions such as Pre-Primary, Primary, Secondary Schools, Colleges and other special institutions to facilitate the Education and Social needs of the Society.
To promote Scientific, Literacy, Cultural values and Economic prosperity of the Society.
To undertake diffusion of knowledge relating to commerce, industry, law or any other useful knowledge.
To endeavour for diffusion of Political Education.
To encourage galleries of paintings, fine artistic and to undertake diffusion of fine arts and crafts.
To undertake schemes, projects and endeavours as may be beneficial to the economic, social and cultural needs of the society.
To undertake publication of scientific, literacy, cultural, political and research material which will further social objectives.
To co-operate, affiliate or federate with Associations having similar aims and objectives.
To do generally all such things as are incidental to or a may be deemed necessary or conducive to the promotion and development of all or any of the objectives of the society.

The Society has established

K.P.E.S. Law College in 1975
Free legal Aid Unit.
K.P.E.S Kindergarten School in 1985
K .P.E.S Kannada Medium Primary in 1986 and High School in 1995
K.P.E.S English Medium Primary in 1989 and High School in 1995
K.P.E.S Arts and Commerce Pre University College in the year 2002
K.P.E.S D.Ed college in the year 2007
