The college has constituted a Moot Court Committee to instill the student’s interest in mooting and to facilitate the students to achieve the skills required for the legal profession. The committee organizes programmes on Moot Court, Client Interviewing and Client Counseling Competitions, and select the teams of students to participate in various Moot Court Competitions organized by different colleges and train them accordingly. The moot court activity not only develops the legal knowledge amongst the students but also enhances the communication, drafting, presentation and research skills in them.
Objectives of Moot Court Committee:
- To enable student to be well versed with the court etiquettes and disciplines.
- To enable learning through effective participation by experiential learning through moot court and client interviewing.
- To provide all the students opportunities to promote research, oral advocacy and drafting skills.
- To provide students better opportunities to advance their careers, through participation in moot court to develop advocacy skills to solve legal problems.
- Through experiential learning students gain skills, knowledge of law and practical learning.
- To enhance the students’ soft skills such as communication, fluency in language, presentation, organizing skill, leadership skill so as to prepare them for the profession.
